On Tuesday morning we set out on our adventure to Dalebrook rock pools.
We excitedly boarded the train, enjoying the sights on our way to Kalk Bay.
Upon arrival we quickly shed our shoes and backpacks and made our way down to the rocky shoreline, ready to explore the treasures exposed by the low tide.
Walking across the rocks we could feel the slippery sea lettuce and spiky barnacles beneath our feet, being careful not to stand on the urchins.
The pools were teeming with marine life from starfish nestled in crevices, to star cushions and limpets clinging to rocks, an abundance of sea urchins, anemones and a rare sighting of a cuttlefish.

It was a truly wonderful morning of friendship, discovery, and beauty, that is sure to leave a lasting impression. This experience is a reminder of the hidden wonders that lie in our beautiful coastline, and the intertidal world.
Thank to the older children for their wonderful company and mentorship to the Little Farm School children.
