TESTIMONIALS
Dear Anna.
I want to say a huge thank you for everything you have done for us !!!Your ability to transform my negative feelings into positive ones has truly impacted my self growth. Because of you, I have learned to be kinder to myself, more dedicated and filled with motivation.
I really appreciate the hard work and love that you have given Yumna and I and I will never forget it.
My son had such an awesome time at Silvermist Academy.
We homeschool in Dubai, but love to travel a bit too. I am so glad he got to experience Silvermist Academy whilst we were in Cape Town. From tinkering to nature walks to basic facts to building shelters and fires in the forest. My son had an absolute blast!!!
Ms.Anna is super sweet and made him feel right at home. He can’t stop raving about your basic facts escapades . He was also so happy to go be with the other kids and enjoy the different adventures.
Thank you so much for adding beauty to our Cape Town visit. He is already talking about coming back.
Joining Silvermist Academy for a few weeks was an amazing experience for Max during our time in Hout Bay.
Anna is wonderful, as are all the kids: warm, welcoming, and doing great work with the local community. It was a joy watching our son being welcomed into the group so easily and to witness all the amazing and fun things that were going on!
Hi Anna
Just wanted to say thank you for everything you’ve done for me, you really helped me stretch my brain to think differently and changed my mindset towards learningThank you so much
Wish you all the best
I was so glad to find a homeschool hub in Cape Town that Oga could attend.
A great way for him to enjoy Cape Town as a local homeschooled kid.Imagine my shock when we were at a bike park and he bumped into one of the kids from the hub and they were bubbling away.
And I found this place just a week before we set off for Cape Town. I had joined a Facebook Cape Town homeschoolers group about a year ago and was on the lookout for any gatherings or hubs.
Located on a wine estate in Constantia, it was just perfect for Oga.
I loved that they were more focused on practical life skills and self-directed learning. Oga got to enjoy some tinkering, survival skills in the wild, drumming and dancing, basic facts, journalling and nature appreciation, whilst enjoying the vast land with other kids.
He was super nervous on the first day; we made a deal that if he didn’t like it, he didn’t have to return.
But return he did, and with so much gusto.
Super grateful to the principal, Anna, whose warm and kind reception helped him settle in immediately. And thank you for all the precious moments you captured; it really warmed my heart
It is an absolute pleasure to write this letter of recommendation.
During our time in communication, and through the invaluable experience she offered my daughter, I have witnessed her profound ability to connect with my daughter in a way that fostered both personal growth and a deep sense of community, which is amazing considering she only had a short time there.Ms. Anna clearly has a gift for meeting young people where they are and empowering them to engage with the world in meaningful ways. Her leadership at Silvermist Academy and her thoughtful curation of activities—both academic and service-oriented—demonstrate a deep commitment to education that extends far beyond the classroom.
Through her dedicated collaborative approach, my daughter not only explored a variety of academic and cultural topics but also engaged in community service projects that nurtured empathy, responsibility, and an awareness of social impact.
She actually wanted her to learn something of deep value. Honestly I’ve never met another educator like her. She is so very passionate about it. She got ME excited about learning!
One aspect that particularly stands out is Ms. Anna’s dedication to creating sustainable volunteer opportunities. Her collaboration with organizations like Love in a Bowl reflects her skill in bridging education with real-world impact. My daughter’s experience assisting with food preparation for vulnerable community members and proofreading an investor-focused report allowed her to step into roles of service and professionalism, which are often rare opportunities for teens.
Ms. Anna’s ability to connect with teens is both intuitive and intentional. She fosters curiosity and builds trust, encouraging teens to step into challenges—whether that’s critical thinking during an escape room activity, engaging in literary discussions, or exploring cultural narratives during a street art visit. She has a way of inspiring them to see themselves as active participants in their own learning journeys.
If you are considering Ms. Anna for any project involving teens, particularly in collaborative and service-based initiatives, I wholeheartedly recommend her. Her ability to inspire, lead, and create impactful opportunities for teens is nothing short of extraordinary. She is a remarkable mentor, educator, and community builder.
A life long contact.
